Bismarckschool offers space for jackdaws and environmental education

As part of the renovation of the tower of the Bismarck school a nest box was installed in a window.

We have built a special customised nestbox for jackdaws and a nesting site for swifts.

The box is equipped with a peephole for monitoring.

So the students can watch together with the teacher during the breeding season.
A measure for more urban nature and environmental education.

This was possible due to the openness of the building department of the city of Nuremberg, the executive architect, Mr. Meier and the headmaster of the Bismarck school.
