In the Sinwell tower of the Nuremberg Imperial Castle peregrine falcons are nesting. They are breeding in a nestbox which was originally built for kestrels.
On behalf of the Government of Middle Franconia we were allowed to install an observation camera.
On top of the historical Sinwell tower of the Imperial Castle of Nuremberg there is no internet connection. To bring video and sounddata in the internet, we have established a wireless radio link which spans 250 meters to the nearest Internet connection.
For that purpose we specifically designed a media server. This in turn sends the image data to the streaming provider, which makes it accessible to all users on the Internet.
The camera is a high performance camera that still remains operational even in extreme cold and hot temperatures. With infrared mode, the peregrines could also be observed in the night.
Thanks at this point to our technical team . By joining forces ( The stairs to the top of the Sinwell tower are many!) and good scheduling we managed everything in record time !
